WJSN’s title tracks have this distinct feel and sound to them that you can tell it’s their song just by listening to their elegant, cosmic melody. But with their years of being active, they’ve built up a large discography which showcases the many different sides to WJSN and that they have more amazing songs, other than their title tracks. WJSN is currently competing on Mnet’s hit show “Queendom 2” and has even announced the details for their online and offline concert “Wonderland”. Because of this, we’ve compiled a list of B-Side tracks we think you should listen to. UJUNG or not, are you ready? Let’s get started. Note: This list is in no particular order.
1. ‘Renaissance’
‘Renaissance’ comes from their album “Dream Your Dream” which was released in 2018. The song remains true to the album title and makes you feel as if you’re in a dreamlike trance. It has the elements of a typical WJSN title song: upbeat and elegant, while showcasing their incredible vocals.
2. ‘Luckitty-cat’
If you’re looking for a song to cheer you up and make you dance, this song will do just that! ‘Luckitty-cat’ has a quirky and funky vibe all the way through, with lyrics describing the girls as a cat with the ability to bring you good luck. With its catchy lyrics and addictive melody, ‘Luckity-cat’ is sure to get your body moving in no time.
3. ‘BeBe’
‘BeBe’ goes away from WJSN’s elegant, out of this world feel and instead brings us elements of bright, bubblegum pop, akin to their image at debut. The track is upbeat and fun, with lyrics showcasing a girl’s innocent feelings towards their crush. With summer around the corner, ‘BeBe’ is the perfect song to add to your summer playlist!
4. ‘REWIND’
So far on this list we’ve had explosive track after explosive track, but let’s slow it down just a bit. ‘REWIND’ is for those that are looking for a good ballad to listen to after a long day. This song showcases each member’s vocal prowess and coupled with its soothing piano instrumental, ‘REWIND’ is sure to help you unwind and destress.
5. ‘Prince’
The beginning of ‘Prince’ gives off the vibe that you’re about to embark on a journey in a video game. This aligns with the WJSN out-of-this-world experience that’s expected with every album. ‘Prince’ is fast-paced with cutesy elements that pulls you in and will certainly put a smile on your face.
6. ‘I-Yah’
‘I-Yah’ starts off soft and slow but builds up momentum soon enough. The vocals of the song appear wanting, perfectly expressing the lyrics which yearn for someone who isn’t there. Although ‘I-Yah’ picks up its pace, the lyrics tug on your heartstrings just like a ballad.
7. ‘LIGHTS UP’
This track is their album “As You Wish” honorary ballad and it does not miss. ‘LIGHTS UP’ makes you feel as if you’re waltzing through a fairytale. It starts off with a simple piano melody that eventually evolves to include an orchestral instrumental. ‘LIGHTS UP’ is the perfect lullaby to put you to sleep.
Bonus Track - Pantomime
If you’ve been keeping up with “Queendom 2”, you might already know that WJSN actually performed ‘Pantomime’, as it was a fan-recommended song—and oh boy, UJUNGs have such good taste! It is a bop in every sense of the word, bringing fans on an enjoyable rollercoaster ride, filled with excitement and anticipation of where the song might take them next.
