Here are 5 covers by N.Flying that we’re positively obsessed with!
1. ‘紅蓮華’ (‘Gurenge’) by LiSA
A song that dominated music charts at the time of its release and is once again going viral for serving as the opening theme for the popular anime “Demon Slayer”, ‘Gurenge’ by LiSA is simply a masterpiece. Even attempting to cover this song is a feat in and of itself but N.Flying goes above and beyond, imbuing the song with their own colour.
2. ‘夜に駆ける’ (‘Racing Into The Night’) by YOASOBI
YOASOBI is one of the most beloved Japanese musical duos in the world, formed by Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter ikura. Their song ‘Racing Into The Night’ is deeply cherished and continues to be iconic even now. Lee SeungHyub and Yoo HweSeung’s voices melt into each other and create a resounding baritone, giving us a whole new version of the song rather than a simple cover.
3. ‘Shy Away’ by twenty one pilots
The Grammy-winning band twenty one pilots has long been known for their meaningful lyrics, symbolic imagery, and most importantly, for creating their own genre. N.Flying’s cover of their song ‘Shy Away’ perfectly embodies the powerful, energetic conviction of the original, blowing us away with their rendition. In addition, the music video is a visual treat, to say the least.
4. “Bohemian Rhapsody" Medley by Queen
Undoubtedly one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Queen, is an indelible golden name in the world of music. N.Flying covers the songs featured in the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” in a brilliant one-cut video, proving once again that they’re a force to be reckoned with. The video starts off with a band version of the ‘20th Century Fox Fanfare’, followed by Queen classics: ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, ‘Radio Ga Ga’, ‘We Are The Champions’ and finally ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. This one’s most definitely a must-watch!
5. ‘Leave The Door Open’ by Silk Sonic
A song that has become the romance anthem of the modern days, ‘Leave The Door Open’ by Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) has been covered by innumerable artists all over the world. However, something about N.Flying’s cover is so alluring, much like the original, that you cannot help but replay it over and over again. Bonus: We highly recommend that you check out N.Flying’s “K-Pop Mash Up Medley” below from their live performance during “THE REAL Ⅳ" at TSUTAYA O-EAST!
